“Fried”, “smoked”, “grilled”, “poached”… there are hundreds of ways to cook fish, one of most valuable products of the Friulian gastronomy. It is possible to appreciate tasty fresh fish in all the sea restaurants of our Adriatic Coast and to buy it directly from the fishermen.
In the “Piazza dello Squero” in Marano Lagunare, for example, the fish market takes place once a week. Depending on the availability and the fishing season it is therefore possible to buy fish from the lagoon and local sea, including cuttlefish, sole, croaker, gilthead, smelt, goby, shrimp, golden gray mullet, flounder, sea-bass, and much more good fresh products.
